Job still pending in the queue?

Description: Become part of the next wave in biomolecular simulation. Los Alamos Natl. Lab. is aggressively recruiting talented scientists interested in writing and porting code to advanced architecture CPUs for use on large-scale supercomputing machines up to and including petaflop-scale machines. The project will involve the study of conformational changes in the ribosome and larger systems. Situated between the academic, industry, national security and defense research communities, LANL has an intellectually diverse environment and demands creative, innovative and pioneering solutions. LANL has a long history in supercomputing and currently houses the $100M Q machine, with over twenty departments devoted to the design, implementation and application of supercomputers. The Sanbonmatsu Team has ample computing time allocations and state-of-the-art facilities for visualization and data analysis. Starting salary $64,500 (Ph.D+0), including comprehensive benefits packages.

Job Requirements:
Ph. D. in physics, computer science, applied mathematics, biochemistry, biology or related field. Extensive computer programming experience. Ability to write, run, debug and trouble-shoot code. Ability to work under a deadline. Excellent communication skills. Top candidates will be flown to Los Alamos for a job talk. Approval for foreign national visits requires 10 business days. Approval for citizens of US DOE sensitive countries requires 45 business days.

Specific Skills : MPI,c,assembly language
